The Expedition
It added on to the infinite life throughout the universe. It gave light to the dark. It reduced the need for the most powerful aspect in the galaxy, the sun. The bright blue traveled farther than anything imaginable. Biff calls it “The Blue Planet.” Biff is the discoverer of this planet which wasn't very hard to find because of its enormous size. It is 156 times larger than the sun and its rays are 4 times as powerful. As the numbers seem big, the expedition was even bigger. Biff was 15 when he caught sight of “The Blue Planet.”
I was standing outside my porch on a normal afternoon. The wind whistling through my ears, the leaves crackling as they floated through the atmosphere. The area calm as can be, and then I see a bright blue gleaming light at the corner of my eye. It looked like what they call “The Blue Planet.” It is only visible to the United States portion of the earth for a week every 50 years. No science has recorded why, yet. The Blue Planet seems fairly close as its appearance is massive. As I stare off into the beauty and wonders of this planet, I come to think of the mechanics it would take to have possible human life on this planet like I usually would do with Mars and Jupiter. I do not know if the atmosphere on the Blue Planet is burning hot or freezing cold so I would have to create a mutation in the human body that accommodates both. I would have to reduce oxygen needed for the human body not knowing how much or how little oxygen is on the Blue Planet. I would have to adjust to gravity changes and most importantly I would have to cope with not seeing any loved ones for the longest time. As 50 years blow by I have achieved much greatness and hope in visiting the Blue Planet. I’m 65 now and have the mutations needed to survive on this voyage. My eyes can stare at the sun like no other. Brightness does not affect my eyes. I can withstand heat up to 3.6 billion degrees and a temperature down to negative 2.8 billion degrees does not bother me. My body runs off of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen. So it is ok if the oxygen supply is low on the Blue Planet. I remember at age 15 staring off into the Blue planet. My dreams have become a reality now and it is time to get going.
