"Final Poem"

Brandon Borcic
"Final Poem"

If I had wings I
would leave the chills
of Colorado and fly to
the tropics of Hawaii

I would soar over
the clear, blue water
and never look back as
if time was against me

I could feel the thick
air and feel the blazing sun
but i could never actually leave
because Colorado is where I belong

Character Sketch (altered)

Character Poem

He had lost everything. There was nothing left for him to hold or to even touch. It was just him. The man stranded in the cold, chilling blizzard. The snow conquered everything the man had. He was lost out of his own body. The snow allowed blindness for someone with perfect vision. All the man could do is wait in the whiteout and listen to the wind roar past his ears. The mans name is Nate, he is 53 years old and got caught in a blizzard today.

Barter

Life has loveliness to sell,
All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fire that sways and sings,
And children's faces looking up
Holding wonder like a cup.

Life has loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of gold,
Scent of pine trees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy thoughts that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of peace
Count many a year of strife well lost,
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.

Solitude

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all,—
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life’s gall.

Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a large and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.

Punctuation Poem

Punctuation
I (Always) see the brightness that
lights (up) the sky, and the moon
that kills the Mood...The BrightNess During the
day slowly and slowly shines Until!!!
..................................................................
...................THE moon creeps up and steals
the brightness in replace to achieve its darkness.....

As the moon somehow shines the Rays of the dark,
the sun finds its way back to its place
and creates the glory of the beautiful light.

Acrostic

its filled with nothing but water and A
little bit of a tiny Drop
and whatever else could be hidden In
what makes up The
things that lye beneath what stands in the Ocean

The Ocean is the most massive thing A
guy could imagine and whatever Change
is brought upon themselves In
the lifestyle of The
ocean and its constant impact on the Weather

Poem In replace of another poem

Free Write Poem

And I heard you say the most immaculate phrase. My ears trembled to the wonders of such simple words. Its like the feeling of accomplishing something that is almost impossible. Its like the sight that could never be seen. Its like the voices that could never be heard but something about "nothing" was astonishing. The word nothing is so simple but it has the biggest meaning. Its the kind of word to make my brain quiver because of all the possibilities that can come out of such a word. The word nothing started everything.
